WestWend Bio
WestWend is an Americana and country duo featuring Jonathan Maness (guitar, vocals) and Wendy Maness (vocals). Formed in 2011 and proudly based in Clinton, Tennessee, the pair brings a hometown-rooted perspective to their blend of traditional and modern country music. Jonathan’s background in bluegrass and Wendy’s roots in Delta blues, classic country, and Motown come together to create a sound that is both grounded and distinctive.
Their release, Linger For A While, reimagines bluegrass standards while showcasing original songs that reflect a deep respect for traditional country storytelling. Wendy’s vocal style has often drawn comparisons to Alison Krauss, while Jonathan’s baritone voice and skilled flatpicking have earned recognition from audiences in the United States and abroad.
WestWend has performed at major festivals across the U.S. and Europe, including the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, the National Cornbread Festival, the St. Augustine Seafood Festival, and the Pensacola Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival. Their international experience includes two 14-day tours across eight European countries, highlighted by an appearance at the Spring Bluegrass Festival. They have also shared the stage with artists such as Rhonda Vincent, Guy Clark, and Tyler Hilton.
Currently, WestWend is working on a new full-length album, slated for release in late 2026. Rooted in East Tennessee and shaped by years on the road, they continue to bring their sound to audiences near and far.
